The digits in its name are the numbers of the Raymond Weil brand's address in Switzerland: 1212, Geneva - a suburb of Grand-Lancy. This symbolizes the path traveled so far and the mark the brand has left on watchmaking. RW1212 is the brand's first proprietary movement created through its partnership with the Swiss manufacturer Sellita.
