WORLD PREMIERE: SHAR

The first absolutely spherical wristwatch by Alexander Shorokhoff.

Following the launch of the new “SHAR” ball watch in early October 2022, the spherical model caused a huge sensation on the watch market and among many watch enthusiasts  around the world. The absolutely round case of the automatic watch is a world first. The diameter  is only 25 mm.  The brand marks its 30th anniversary with this extraordinary highlight.

The spherical shape approaches perfection – no edges or corners, yet also no beginning and no end.  The shape captivates every representative of the arts. The new  “Shar” wristwatch,  which translates from Russian as „sphere“, gleams in a majestic, glossy gold case.

The case and the front sapphire crystal are united into the shape of a sphere. A design was developed with a single screw connecting the back and the body without additional edges or openings. The screw is located at the center of the case back, joins the two parts in a watertight manner and is also hemispherical in shape. The sapphire crystal is perfectly matched to the spherical shape and blends seamlessly with the case.

The lugs are also made from small spheres. Most importantly, they are absolutely horizontal, so that they stay perpendicular to the case. This is achieved by using a rectangular strap holder and a rectangular opening in the case. This makes it very easy to center the strap in the optimal horizontal position. This special holder is secured with a screw inside the case. A soft, elastic crocodile-leather strap is used for this model.

Inside the watch ticks the Swiss ETA.2671 automatic movement. The movement's rotor is hand-engraved, as is customary for Alexander Shorokhoff. The dial impresses with hand-engraved floral motifs and is then gold-plated.
