The POLJOT INTERNATIONAL Kirovsky watch is a limited replica of a Soviet classic from the 1940s – with an automatic movement, pearl dial and a crown at 2 o'clock. Its unique look, with a decentralized seconds display at 9 o'clock, is inspired by the USSR's first military wristwatches. Limited to 100 pieces, this model combines history, style and functionality.

A legendary watch from the 1940s
With the purchase of the Ansonia and Dueber Hampden Watch & Co. watch factory, accompanied by 21 former employees, the First State Watch Factory was founded in Moscow in 1930.    This was  achieved  through the personal involvement of party member and Lenin's comrade, Sergei Kirov.

The factory was named after him in 1935: The First State Watch Factory named „Kirov”, or in short „1 G.Ch.Z. Kirov”. The watches produced there also carried his name.
Legend has it that the Red Army urgently needed a wristwatch before the start of World War II. Even Stalin got involved in the matter. One day he called the factory management and set the task of presenting a wristwatch for the military within 3 days, even though he knew the factory only produced pocket watches. After considerable discussion and concern, the engineers came up with a simple solution. An unusual, sturdy strap holder was welded onto the pocket watch case. This is how the first official Soviet military watch was born!
The „Poljot-International“ brand had already released such a limited replica of the 1940s model for the 60th anniversary of its production. In 2020 the time came to present the second version of the replica, marking the 80th anniversary accordingly. The new model was named „Kirovskie II“.

Overall, the designers and technicians worked on the model for a year. The watch's design is closely adapted to the original, but the watch is now produced in a smaller case with a diameter of 40 mm. The inside of the watch has also been replaced - an automatic movement from Vostok 2415 with a decentralized seconds hand at 10 o'clock has been installed.
So that the position of the seconds hand could be brought to the 9 o'clock position, as in the original, the crown was attached to the case at 2 o'clock. Thus the watch movement was rotated counterclockwise.

The movement's rotor  has Geneva  stripes and the screws are blued.

The bracelet lugs have been retained  in the style of the original, but technical modernizations have also  been made here. To change the strap, you only need to loosen one screw at the front of the lug. The bracelet remains the same as in the 1940s. It is adorned with two steel buttons and the „Poljot-International“ brand logo.
The model is produced in different dial colors and different limited editions.
