Seiko 5 Sports — the entry point into real automatic watches
Since 1963, Seiko 5 has meant one thing: the most mechanical watch for your money. Today's 5 Sports series inherited the design of the legendary SKX diver and made it everyday-ready — an automatic 4R36 movement that winds from the motion of your wrist, a visible day and date, 100 metres of water resistance, and a rotating bezel. The five „5“ principles — automatic, day-date, water resistance, protected crown, and durable case — are present in every model.

Questions and answers
Does it need a battery?
No — the Seiko 5 Sports is automatic: it winds from the motion of your wrist. Left stationary, it keeps running for about 40 hours.
Can you swim with it?
Yes — 100 metres (10 ATM) of water resistance covers swimming and everyday use.
What's the difference with the Seiko Presage?
The 5 Sports is the sportier, more affordable entry point into automatic Seikos; the Presage is the classic, higher-end line with finer finishing. Both series are fully mechanical.
